Ben Kelsey
Ben Kelsey
Ben joined Rangatira Investments in August 2025. Prior to Rangatira, he worked in Deloitte’s corporate finance practice, gaining experience across mergers and acquisitions, transaction services, valuations and financial modelling on both sell-side and buy-side engagements. He also brings hands-on experience building proprietary data analytics tools to support deal sourcing and evaluation.
He holds a bachelor of commerce in economics and finance from the University of Canterbury and has passed both the CFA level I and level II examinations.

Carolyn joined Rangatira in March 2023 bringing with her extensive experience supporting senior leaders across banking, investment banking, government, and financial services. Prior to Rangatira, she spent 13 years as Executive Assistant to the Chief Executive at Kiwibank, and has also held key operational and corporate services roles at Credit Suisse First Boston and First NZ Capital. Her background spans executive support, governance administration, property and facilities management, financial processes, and the coordination of major organisational projects and events.

Cathy Quinn ONZM
Cathy was appointed as a director to the Rangatira board in March 2019 and sits on the remuneration committee and board of portfolio company Rainbow’s End.
Cathy was one of Aotearoa New Zealand’s foremost commercial and corporate lawyers and has significant expertise in governance, capital markets, mergers and acquisitions, and private equity. In 2016, she was made an Officer of the New Zealand Order of Merit (ONZM) for her services to law and women.
Cathy is a director of Fletcher Building and Fonterra, chair of Tourism Holdings and Fertility Associates, pro chancellor of the University of Auckland, and a consultant at MinterEllisonRuddWatts.
Daniela Bossard
Daniela Bossard
Daniela joined Rangatira Investments in June 2022. Prior to this, she was at Cameron Partners from 2013, providing M&A, capital raisings, capital structure and strategic advice across a broad range of sectors and clients.
Earlier in her career, she completed an investment banking internship at UBS New Zealand and was part of the Westpac institutional banking graduate programme, specialising in credit analysis and strategic research.
She holds a bachelor of commerce (honours) and a bachelor of arts in economics and statistics from the University of Auckland. Daniela is a member of the INFINZ emerging leaders’ committee and is on the board of portfolio company Rainbow’s End.

Godfrey Boyce
Godfrey was appointed as a director of Rangatira in December 2024 and is a member of the audit committee.
Having had a 39 year career with KPMG — including seven and a half years as chief executive New Zealand — Godfrey brings a wealth of experience across banking, finance and the public sector.
During his career, he specialised in audit, risk management and advisory services.
Godfrey is on the boards of Bank of New Zealand and Ricketts Group. He holds a BCA from Victoria University of Wellington, is a fellow chartered accountant (FCA) and a member of the Institute of Finance Professionals New Zealand (INFINZ).
Kurt Purdon
Kurt Purdon
Kurt joined Rangatira Investments in 2018 following four years in PwC’s corporate finance practice, where he gained experience in mergers and acquisitions, project finance, financial modelling and valuations.
He holds a bachelor of commerce and a master of business from the University of Otago and is a CFA charterholder.
Kurt is on the board of portfolio company Boulcott Hospital and serves on the limited partner advisory committees of two of Rangatira’s venture capital fund managers.
Mark Dossor
Mark Dossor
Mark has been chief executive of Rangatira Investments since August 2018. Prior to this, he was the chief financial officer of the Accident Compensation Corporation (ACC). At ACC, Mark was responsible for the finance function, procurement, property and investment management, overseeing an investment fund of over $36 billion.
Mark began his career at KPMG and then worked at MAS Technology and Endeavour Capital before spending more than three years at NZ Post as chief financial officer of its postal services business. He is also a past chair of the NZVCA. He holds a bachelor of commerce and administration from Victoria University of Wellington and completed the advanced development programme at London Business School. Mark is a member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand and of the Institute of Directors. He is on the boards of portfolio companies Polynesian Spa, Fiordland Lobster, Magritek, Boulcott Hospital and New Zealand Pastures Limited.
Matthew Olde

Matt joined Rangatira Investments in July 2020. Prior to this, Matt was at Mercury NZ for a decade and had a wide range of executive roles including corporate strategy, managing the IPO of Mercury in 2013, and serving as CEO of metering subsidiary, Metrix. Before 2010 Matt worked in investment banking at ABN AMRO in Sydney and London and then Deutsche Bank in Auckland.
He has Commerce (Hons) and Law degrees from the University of Auckland and completed the Stanford Executive Programme at the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
Matt is also a member of the Institute of Directors and is on the portfolio company boards of NZS Group, Quay Infrastructure (t/a Northland Waste), Stuart Drummond Transport, and is also on the Investment Committee of BeGroup.

Michael Boggs
Michael was appointed as a Director of Rangatira in September 2024 and is a member of the Remuneration Committee.
He is CEO at New Zealand Media and Entertainment (NZME) and has been in the role since March 2016. Michael led NZME's listing on the NZX and ASX in June 2016 and has transformed NZME into a dynamic digital first business, while managing its legacy operations.
Prior to that Michael held the Chief Financial Officer position at NZME, and is a Fellow Chartered Accountant (FCA).
Rowena Coleman

Rowena joined Rangatira in June 2025 as Finance Manager, bringing with her, a wealth of experience and insight to the role. A qualified Accountant, she began her career at KPMG, where she worked with a variety of audit clients across New Zealand and internationally. Over the years, Rowena has applied her financial acumen across a range of sectors, including human resources, membership services, and the arts, reflecting her adaptability and strategic approach. Before joining Rangatira, Rowena served as Finance Manager at Boulcott Hospital.
Working on a part-time basis, her diverse background and thoughtful perspective make her a valued and trusted member of the Rangatira team.

Sam has been a Director of Rangatira since 2011 and Chair of the Board from 29 July 2025.
Over the last decade, Sam has spent time in governance roles supporting young and ambitious growth companies. Examples include Xero in accounting software, PartnersLife in insurance and Synlait in the dairy industry. His current governance portfolio includes a range of established and young services companies including Westpac NZ, Adminis in investment administration, and Fire Security Services. Sam’s governance approach has included direct investment in every company he has been involved with (other than Westpac). Sam is also a Trustee of Te Omanga Hospice Foundation.
During the prior decade, Sam was the founding CEO of Kiwibank, leading it from idea to success. This role followed an extensive career in financial services with senior executive roles in Australia and New Zealand. Sam has a BSc in Physics from Waikato University and an MSc (Hons) in Resource Management from Canterbury University. Sam Is a Chartered Fellow of the NZ Institute of Directors.

Simon Till
Simon was appointed as a director of Rangatira in November 2025 and is a member of the audit committee.
He has considerable commercial and global capital markets experience, underpinned by strong business acumen and an advanced understanding of finance and investment. His background spans senior leadership roles across corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, investment appraisal, equity and debt capital markets, treasury and capital management, and financial risk management. He also brings experience in private equity, strategy and governance.
Simon was most recently acting chief financial officer at Fonterra Co operative Group, following senior finance leadership roles within the co operative.
Prior to this, he had an extensive career in investment banking, serving as a global managing director and head of investment banking at Credit Suisse in New Zealand (now Jarden), and advising on many of New Zealand’s landmark corporate and capital markets transactions.
Simon holds a bachelor’s degree with honours in accounting and finance from Victoria University of Wellington.

Sophie has been a director of Rangatira since 2013 and is chair of the audit committee.
She has an executive background in strategy and corporate finance, including extensive M&A experience, with a career spanning New Zealand Post, Citibank NA, ANZ Investment Bank and Ernst & Young.
Sophie has a BCom and a post graduate diploma in management from the University of Melbourne and is a chartered member of the Institute of Directors. She is a director of Kordia (chair), CentrePort (deputy chair), Livestock Improvement Corporation, Payments NZ and nib NZ.
