Our charitable Shareholders

JR McKenzie Trust

With a 51% shareholding, the JR McKenzie Trust is our principal shareholder. The trust was founded by Sir John McKenzie in 1940 with a vision to build a socially just and inclusive Aotearoa New Zealand.

The trust provides over $6m in grants to over 50 organisation each year, supporting great causes including

  • Child Poverty Monitor
  • Connecting Education and Communities
  • Youth Education Fund
  • Deaf Development Fund
  • Maori Development
  • Auckland Regional Migrant Services
  • Working Together More Fund
